East Africa Data Centre Hub

Nairobi, Kenya2025–2027$125M

Project Overview

As East Africa's digital economy accelerates — driven by mobile finance, e-commerce, and cloud adoption — the region faces a critical shortfall in sovereign data infrastructure. The East Africa Data Centre Hub addresses this gap with a purpose-built Tier III facility in Nairobi, Kenya's technology capital.

The facility will offer carrier-neutral colocation, managed hosting, and disaster recovery services with a guaranteed 99.98% uptime SLA. At 20MW total IT load capacity, it is designed to scale with demand from hyperscalers, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, and government agencies.

ARIF GROUP is leading the consortium financing and has secured preliminary agreements with regional telecommunications carriers for direct cross-connects. The facility will comply with TIA-942 Tier III certification requirements and ISO/IEC 27001 information security standards.
